Lara Kinnear

Lara Kinnear, originally from Pretoria, has had a passion for the performing arts since a young age. She matriculates at Hoërskool Waterkloof in Pretoria with Dance Studies, Music and Drama as major subjects.

She has been dancing her entire life in the styles of Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Modern Dance (in which she has completed her teaching diploma in 2008, becoming an accredited

S.A.B.O.D dance teacher). At the age of 15, she is chosen as part of the South African team to represent South Africa at the World Dance Championships in Los Angeles.

She is a singer, trained in the styles of Classical, Musical Theatre and Rock, and has completed courses at Unisa, as well as Trinity College of London Rock School.

Drama always remains a priority. Plays and musicals in her repertoire include Cinderella, Charlie Brown, Fusions, Broadway Numbers, Die Perfekte Wêreld, Dracula, Eve-o-lution, Grease and Peter Pan.

In 2011 she graduates at the University of Stellenbosch and receives a B.Drama degree, specialising in Cabaret.

She completes her Post Graduate Diploma in Education via Unisa.

Whilst coaching dance at her own dance academy called Five Six Seven Eight, she unwaveringly pursues her singing and acting career. In November 2014, she signs with an agency in Johannesburg and moves back to Pretoria after six years in the Western Cape.

She re-establishes her dance academy in Pretoria and open its doors in February 2015.

During 2015 she joins the very popular Barnyard Theatre company and performs as lead vocalist in a production called Bonfire Hearts.

In 2016 she lands her first film role as "Marieda" in an Afrikaans movie called "Vir die Voëls" released in November 2016. Ever since, she has been seen in numerous ads of the popular Buffelsfontein brand, as well as a couple of short cameos as a Doctor in the popular Diepe Waters soap on Kyk-Net.

 She is a passionate, driven and super creative person who loves to be inspired and strives to inspire others. When she is not singing, dancing, acting or teaching, she spends her free time with her husband, Franco, her two girls Bonnie and Heide, and two adopted furchildren called Rango and Arnold.

Sinead Dickey

Acrobatics

 

Sinead is a positive, enthusiastic and driven Acrobatic Dance Teacher with 7 consecutive years of experience in teaching Acrobatic Dance to children between 3 and 18 years.

She passed her Teacher’s Diploma with Distinction through the highly-acclaimed association A.F.S.A which is also the syllabus she teaches today. Since completing her Teacher’s Diploma, she has not only coached, but also adjudicated at numerous regional and national competitions hosted by A.F.S.A.

She has an enormous passion for children and prides herself in finding a connection with each unique, weird-n-wonderful child.

Fueled buy her passion for children and striving to develop her knowledge about them, she is completed her Education Degree (foundation phase) via Unisa.

Despite her very English name and the fact that she can speak English fluently, her native tongue is Afrikaans.

Do not let her tiny frame misrepresent this go-getting, on-the-ball, talented dancer and instructor whom all the dancers love dearly!

Mia Uys


Ballet

Mia is a passionate and hardworking ballet teacher that is in love with the art of Ballet. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and will probably still dance until the day her legs stop working. 

She is a qualified ballet teacher in the Cecchetti method. She completed her Associate Certificate in 2018. She also completed her Advanced 2 exam under Michelle Naudé in R.A.D in 2016. She is experienced in both schools of ballet and this allows her to use the knowledge of both in her teaching. She is a registered member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D) in London. She matriculated at Hoërskool Waterkloof with Dance Studies as one of her major subjects. Her wide variety of training has given her the privilege of acquiring knowledge in theatre, choreography, various dance styles as well as music studies and anatomy. 

Mia is graduates in 2022 in Psychology, English Literature and Education at the University of Pretoria. In her spare time she is a model at Boss Models Johannesburg and she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends, as well as her fur child kitten, Rafael. 

She has a passion for teaching and works hard to push her students to be the best dancer they can be whilst also instilling the same admiration she has for the art of Ballet in her students. She believes that Ballet is for EVERYONE, that during ballet training; you should push yourself physically and mentally and of course... have FUN!

Desiré Zondagh


Hip Hop

Desiré has an undeniable passion and love for dance with over 18 years experience in numerous styles such as Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz.

Her qualifications include SABOD Associate Teachers Accreditation in both Modern and Hip Hop and a Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre at the Oakfield’s College of Performing Arts.

A Chorus Line, Thank You For The Music, A Spartacus of Africa and many other corporate events are all major performances under her belt.

She traveled the world to compete in the IDO World Championships in countries such as Denmark and Austria.

She is a go-getter and thrives to instill her passion for dance in others!

She loves children and children adore her!
